— Common challenges in this industry

Typical problems for Hotel & Tourism brands.

Bottlenecks we keep seeing while working with Hotel & Tourism brands over the years. If they sound familiar, you're not alone.

01
OTA dependence

Booking.com/Expedia commissions eat 18-22% of revenue; direct booking lacks parity tooling.

→ DijiPal approach
02
Seasonal traffic spikes

Summer load multiplies 5-8x; sites without CDN + caching lose checkout sessions.

→ DijiPal approach
03
Multilingual + multicurrency

Foreign guests need EN/AR/RU + EUR/USD pricing with proper hreflang and FX feeds.

→ DijiPal approach
04
Visual proof gap

Without 360° tours, drone shots and authentic reviews, conversion stays 2-3x below OTA average.

→ DijiPal approach
05
Trip planning fragmentation

Guests want activities, transfers and dining bundled; single-product hotel sites lose them to OTAs.

→ DijiPal approach

— FAQ

Hotel & Tourism FAQ.

01 Is integration with OTAs like Booking.com, Expedia, or Hotels.com possible?
Yes — channel manager integration is a standard part of DijiPal hotel packages. Booking, Expedia, Agoda, Airbnb, and Hotels.com sync from a single panel via SiteMinder, Cubilis, or HotelRunner. When a reservation comes in from one channel, the room is automatically blocked on the others — zero overbooking risk. You can offer guests booking directly via your site a 5-10% lower rate, sidestepping the OTA commission and owning the customer relationship. PMS (Opera, Fidelio, Elektra) connections are also set up two-way.
02 How many languages will my site support, and which ones?
The standard package ships with TR + EN + RU + AR; on request, DE, FR, FA, and UA can be added. Translations are not done with Google Translate but by human translators who know the tourism industry (room type names, "all inclusive" terminology, and breakfast / half board distinctions are adapted to each culture). The URL structure is SEO-friendly with /en/, /ru/ paths, and hreflang tags send the right signals to Google. The reservation engine, email notifications, and price currency change automatically based on the visitor's country (TL, EUR, USD, RUB).
03 How do I manage hotel imagery and the room gallery?
On a hotel site, imagery is everything — at DijiPal I build the gallery panel as practical as I'd ask my photographer friend for. Drag-and-drop uploads, automatic WebP conversion (original quality + 70% smaller files), responsive crop, room type tagging (Standard Double, Deluxe Suite, Family Room), and seasonal filters (summer/winter gallery). 360° virtual tours (Matterport or your own equipment) and drone videos are managed in the same panel. Images go out with lazy-load + responsive size attributes for the Lighthouse score. You upload new season photos yourself, I don't touch them.
04 Are there seasonal price tables, campaigns, and early booking management?
Yes — in the rate calendar panel, you can define different prices by day of the week, season (low/mid/high/peak), room type, and occupancy rate. Campaigns like "Early Booking 20%," "7 nights pay 6," "honeymoon package," or "last minute" are added to the calendar via drag and drop. Once occupancy hits a certain percentage, dynamic price increases can be triggered (optional). Child policy (0-2 free, 3-6 half, 7+ full) is defined centrally, and the same rule pushes to all channels. No manual intervention is needed; you only approve at the start of the season.
05 Does the direct booking engine on the site work reliably, and is payment secure?
I write the booking engine myself at DijiPal — not a third-party plugin. The guest selects date + room + number of guests, real-time availability is shown (synced with the channel manager), and add-on services (airport transfer, spa, romantic dinner) can be selected optionally. Payments are taken via iyzico, PayTR, or Garanti BBVA Virtual POS with 3D Secure — card data never touches your server (per PCI-DSS). The booking confirmation reaches the guest and reception instantly, and is also reflected in your hotel PMS via email + API. The cancellation policy automatically applies refund rules based on the date.
06 What's needed for a GDS (Global Distribution System) connection?
A GDS connection (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) means access to travel agencies and large operators selling flight+hotel packages — ROI is high for medium/large hotels. At DijiPal we don't connect to GDS directly but via the channel manager (HotelRunner or SiteMinder provides this connection); we evaluate the monthly GDS subscription fee + commission structure together. For small boutique hotels, an OTA + direct booking mix is more profitable than GDS — in the decision call I give clear recommendations based on your operation's scale. Once connected, agency room sales can be tracked through your panel.
